New Generations - Cultural Industries
Supported by Northern Bank
OMAC provides schools with the opportunity to access professionals who work in the creative and cultural sectors. The school group will act as and take on the responsibilities of a visiting professional theatre company, gaining an insight into the industry through first hand experience. This innovative project gives students, in addition to performing in our professional theatre space, the opportunity to create their own posters, press releases, lighting designs and stage management plans.
This knowledge-transfer project is designed to complement the schools curriculum and support GCSE and AS-level practical examinations.
The next Cultural Industries production is scheduled for November.
OMAC is also offering four schools the opportunity to sign up to our Workshops and Seminars for students. This series of training sessions is led by professionals from the cultural industries and operates as a gateway for young people wishing to develop their careers in this growing sector.
To help us schedule this programme we are asking schools to sign up NOW for the programme.

New Generations - Inside Outside
Supported by Children in Need
OMAC’s Inside Outside community engagement project challenges young people from different communities in Belfast to look Inside the area in which they live and through arts-based projects, consider their hopes, fears and vision for the future of their community.
Through the Inside Outside programme, OMAC aims to empower young people to engage in the next stage and progress the project by looking Outside of their communities to examine access to facilities in the city centre and develop a strategy for building sustainable cultural infrastructure for young people in Belfast.
This programme will reach out to young people aged 14-18 living communities close to Belfast.
